Dr. Biju Ramesh is the Chairman of the Trust as well as of theManaging Council for the Institute. He has been an ardent entrepreneur in the hospitality industry for the last 20 years. A degree holder in Commerce, he has done his masters in Business Administration (MBA) and acquired his doctorate degree in Hotel Management from the University of Buxton, U.K.As the Chairman and Managing Director of Rajadhani Group consisting of a chain of Star hotels and hospitality enterprises situated in and around Thiruvananthapuram, Cochin & Kanyakumari, he is the stakeholder of the said enterprises and settler of the Trust already described. He is a member of various cultural and philanthropic associations and also an active member of several social organizations. The Rajadhani Group also owns a number of convention centres, wedding halls and auditoriums in and around Thiruvananthapuram.
Dr.Biju Ramesh is the Chairman of two Temple Trusts in the neighborhood of Trivandrum. His contributions in cash & kind into these temple funds are a boon to many poor people for their livelihood. With his exceptional vision, foresight and strategic planning, Dr.Biju Ramesh has ensured the commendation of all in travel field.
He is the General Convener of Sree Narayana Dharma Vedi, which is a social body formed to uplift the people, who are backward socially and educationally, to social equality. He has been extending free education to deserving cadidates belonging to economically and socially backward communities.
Dr. Biju Ramesh has received several awards for his business excellence. His strong work ethic and relevant professional experience have brought him and the Rajadhani Group under his leadership a name and fame and kudos from every corner, especially from the travelling list.
In the recent years, the Rajadhani Group has diversified into Telecom Sector, Construction Business and Trading. As an educationalist, the efforts of Dr.Biju Ramesh, has remitted into setting up of ’Rajadhani Institute of Hotel Management’ (RIHM) as early as 2007, providing training to many students in the fields of Hotel Managment and Hospitality Management. Aspiring candidates from the economically backward community are given free education in RIHM. Many of the outgoing students from this Institute get absorbed into their choice job in many Star Hotels as also in the chain of star hotels under Rajadhani Group.
