There are adequate number of well qualified faculty members in the various branches/ departments in the college.
- In order to keep these faculty members updated in their field of expertise and also to keep them engaged in their pursuit of latest developments, research facility is required to be established within the Institute itself.
- The faculty members are desirous of doing research in their way to quality improvement are demanding creation of such facility.
- Existence of such facility would facilitate some of the students in the final year to do their Project work in the Institute itself.
- The areas chosen are highly demanding and the centers can function as outsourcing spots for Hardware/Software development and providing to the needy.
- The faculty and the students can generally enrich their knowledgebase through research and development activities and gain a lot in the area of research methodology.
With the above need-based demands emanating from various levels of the Institute’s faculty and student strength, we have decided to submit this application for permission to establish Research Centers in the above three areas of Engineering Study.
Area Selected for Research
The Research Centers presently available are in three areas, namely, a. Computing b. Electronics Engineering and c. Electrical Engineering
The above three areas have a lot of potential for innovative research activities and have a lot of scope for achievements in terms of designs, developments, software inventions, hardware modifications and might result into transfer of technology or sealing of patents in respect of novel ideas or products. Therefore, as a first step it has been decided to create facilities for advanced research activities in the above areas which are currently offering a wide arena for creative thinking and innovative idea implementation.
