INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION 2015
International Women’s Day (IWD), celebrated every year on 8th March is a significance of social, economic, cultural and political accomplishment of women. The day also implies an act of accelerate gender uniformity. Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology also celebrated IWD on 9th March, 2015 as a part of which cultural events and a motivational talk on “women empowerment” was organized for increasing confidence of female students as well as faculty members.
The celebration was indeed a great initiative by the institute to confer love and gratitude for female students and faculty members. It aimed at imparting the values like empowerment and equality which bestowed the sense of appreciation and respect to the entire female fraternity.
The programme began with an invocation seeking God’s blessings through prayer song, which when went on to a speech by our guest of honour Mrs. Parvathy T, who is an Indian actress, psychologist, TV anchor, and PR professional from Kerala. In her address, she appreciated the programme put up by the students and congratulated them. The program ended with a vote of thanks and singing of the national anthem
It was indeed a noble day organized by Civil Engineering Department which indeed served the aim of empowering female which made them feel appreciated and valued.
