INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION 2018

‘Woman’, an incredible and unbelievable being playing various roles in everyone’s life with love and enthusiasm. Giving back the respect that they well deserve is the least we can do, and it is one of the important purposes of celebrating International Women’s Day on the 8^th of March annually. As part of this, the women of Civil Engineering department of RIET, Nagaroor have been conducting a Women’s Day celebration, ‘Dheera’, every year.

Dheera for the year 2018 was conducted on 13^th March. The program was launched with pre-event of Self-defense class on 6^th March. A small exhibition was conducted on 9^th of March along with a colorful event of ‘Purple balloon release’.

The main event fell on March 13^th with the blessings of our guests of honor Ms. Renju Renjimar, makeup artist/ actress and Prof.A.G Oleena from M G University. Both of them motivated the students and inspired every female there.

A charity work involving the scholarship of two girl children was taken up. The event was yet again spectacular with the involvement from all the female students in organizing various programs. The function was ended with national anthem and Mrs.Remya V.R proposed the vote of thanks.
